On Friday 26 November has opened in Matosinhos in Portugal the fourth step of the international itinerary of the Universo Olivetti. Community as a concrete utopia exhibition. After the Design Museum of Ekaterinburg in Russia, the CLB in Berlin, the COAM in Madrid, the exhibition has been set up at the Casa do Design in Matosinhos, in the district of Oporto, thanks to the precious work of promoting Italian culture by the Italian Institute of Culture of Lisbon, under the auspices of the Embassy of Italy in Lisbon.
The exhibition Universo Olivetti has been conceived for an international audience, on the complex and innovative history linked to the figure of Adriano Olivetti and to Ivrea, his “city of man”, recognized as a UNESCO site since 2018.
Universo Olivetti is promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, created by the Adriano Olivetti Foundation and the MAXXI National Museum of 21st Century Arts, curated by Pippo Ciorra, Francesca Limana, Matilde Trevisani, created with the support of Olivetti Spa (main sponsor) and Translated (sponsor) and with the collaboration of the Olivetti Associazione Archivio Storico Olivetti (technical partner) and the Archivio Nazionale Cinema di Impresa, Archivio Centrale di Stato, Gabetti and Isola Archives, Gianni Berengo Gardin Archive, CSAC, Technologic @ mente Museum-Laboratory of Ivrea, Rai Teche.
